# Network

Connect to Tempo mainnet or Moderato testnet, check EVM differences, and choose RPC infrastructure for your application. For task guides and interactive walkthroughs, browse [Developer guides](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/development).

## Connect to Tempo

### Connect and test

Choose a network, configure your RPC endpoint, and fund a test account.

### Bring an Ethereum application

Check execution differences and the RPC methods supported by Tempo nodes.

### Run your infrastructure

Operate your own Tempo node or find a provider for your application.

### Follow the protocol

Read the specifications and track network upgrades.

## How Tempo differs from Ethereum

* **Fees use stablecoins.** There is no native gas token. Choose a supported USD-denominated TIP-20 token or [sponsor the fee](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/network/fees).
* **Transactions support payment workflows.** Use [atomic batches, access keys, and independent nonces](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/guide/tempo-transaction) through Tempo SDKs.
* **Tokens have payment features.** [TIP-20 Tokens](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/network/tokens) support transfer memos, issuance roles, and transfer policies.
* **Execution has some differences.** Review [EVM differences](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/quickstart/evm-compatibility) before porting a wallet or contract, especially native-balance checks and gas estimates.
