# Funding and payout infrastructure

Start with one route: the sender's currency and bank rail, the asset moving on Tempo, and the recipient's delivery method. Confirm the whole route before selecting an API or promising a delivery time.

## Confirm the payment route

Record customer type, sender and recipient countries, currencies, payment direction, and minimum amounts. Bridge's [route explorer](https://apidocs.bridge.xyz/get-started/introduction/what-we-support/payment-routes) lists supported combinations. Its Tempo guide includes OUSD funding and payout examples; match the exact asset and contract against the [stablecoin registry](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/partners/stablecoins).

## Connect funding and payouts with Bridge

Bridge's [Tempo integration](https://apidocs.bridge.xyz/get-started/guides/move-money/tempo-integration-guide) manages the network connection through its APIs. Choose the component for the movement your application needs:

| Payment task | Bridge component |
| --- | --- |
| Receive recurring bank deposits as a supported stablecoin on Tempo | Virtual account with reusable deposit instructions. |
| Initiate a supported movement between funding and payout endpoints | Transfer. |
| Convert incoming stablecoin deposits to a configured destination | Liquidation address. |
| Hold a balance between movements | Custodial wallet. |

Bridge's wallet documentation specifies whole-cent processing. Check its rounding rules before choosing that path for [microtransactions](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/resources/guides/microtransactions).

## Prepare customers and test the flow

:::steps
### Obtain developer and customer access

Follow [Bridge account setup](https://apidocs.bridge.xyz/get-started/introduction/quick-start/get-set-up-with-bridge). Customers need applicable identity or business verification, terms acceptance, and rail endorsements. Production custodial wallets require [fund-flow review and approval](https://apidocs.bridge.xyz/platform/wallets/overview).

### Exercise the payment lifecycle in sandbox

Use the [sandbox](https://apidocs.bridge.xyz/get-started/introduction/quick-start/setting-up-sandbox) for resource creation, webhooks, retries, and reconciliation. It simulates bank and blockchain activity; it does not send real payouts or blockchain testnet transfers. Keep its credentials and resource IDs separate from production.

### Validate the enabled production route

Run controlled production tests under the provider's instructions. Check the actual asset, fees, rounding, recipient amount, and return handling. Resolve an uncertain existing transfer before submitting another.

## Record when the recipient is paid

Link the business payment ID to the customer, provider transfer ID, asset, amount, fees, and transaction references. Follow [Bridge transfer states](https://apidocs.bridge.xyz/platform/orchestration/transfers/transfer-states) and keep submitted, processed, and returned outcomes distinct.

Near-instant Tempo settlement describes the onchain leg. Bank delivery also depends on provider processing, the selected rail, and the recipient bank. For direct token delivery, [verify the delivered transfer](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/guide/payments/accept-a-payment); for bank payouts, retain provider completion evidence. Use [payment reconciliation](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/resources/guides/payment-reconciliation) to connect both to finance records.
