# Tempo Routes

Move stablecoins between Tempo and supported networks. Accept deposits from external wallets or make a transfer your application can authorize.

[Explore supported routes →](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/networks)

[Test a route →](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/test)

Supported funding paths connect through the Routes API to a Tempo account.

:::warning
Routes is in beta. [Contact Tempo](https://tempo.xyz/contact) to discuss access and the routes your application needs.

## How Routes works

A route connects a source network and token to a destination network and token. Routes prepares the funding instructions or source-chain calls, then tracks delivery to the recipient. A successful source transaction starts the route; your app confirms completion at the destination.

Use the [live directory](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/networks) to check the supported pair and flow. For payments that stay on Tempo, start with [Send payments](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/guide/payments/send-a-payment) or [Swap stablecoins](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/guide/stablecoin-dex/executing-swaps).

## Choose a flow

* [Accept deposits](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/deposits) — Give a customer an address to fund from an external wallet.
* [Make a transfer](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/transfers) — Request signatures through a connected wallet or your signing infrastructure.

Both flows use [quotes and fees](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/quotes) and [delivery tracking](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/routes/delivery). Create an API key after confirming beta access; each guide lists the required permissions.

After funds arrive on Tempo, you can deposit them into [Earn](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/earn/integrate) or a [Zone](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/zones/deposit). Those are separate operations; direct Routes transfers into vaults or Zones are not implemented.

For bank funding and payouts, see [Payments & ramps](https://tempo.xyz/developers/docs/partners/payments-and-ramps).
