RedotPay integrates MPP to bring agentic payments to its 7.5 million users
RedotPay is integrating the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) to enable AI agents to transact on behalf of its 7.5 million users across 130 million merchants worldwide, with settlement on Tempo.

About RedotPay
RedotPay is a global stablecoin-based payment fintech that bridges blockchain solutions with traditional banking and finance infrastructures. Serving over 7 million registered users across more than 100 countries, RedotPay enables the spending and sending of digital assets at 130 million merchants worldwide. The company processes over $10 billion in annualized payment volume and raised $107 million in a Series B in 2025. RedotPay’s mission is to make digital finance accessible, secure, and efficient for everyone, from crypto-native users to underbanked populations with limited access to legacy financial systems.
The problem
Agentic commerce is moving from concept to product faster than most payment infrastructure can handle. AI agents can browse, compare, and recommend products, but most still hand off to a human at checkout. This handoff introduces significant friction and is a primary driver of conversion drops.
The Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), co-authored by Stripe and Tempo, provides a specification for AI agents to send and receive payments programmatically. It covers microtransactions, recurring payments, and direct merchant flows. RedotPay is integrating MPP into its app with Tempo as the settlement chain.
The flow: an AI agent processes a user request. MPP handles discovery, comparison, and checkout inside a single experience. RedotPay settles with the merchant using stablecoins on Tempo, and with the user from their existing wallet balance. For RedotPay’s users, they do not need to bridge or hold any assets on Tempo. Merchants receive stablecoin payments from AI agents and can off-ramp as needed.
For consumers, this collapses product search, price comparison, and purchase into a single touchpoint inside the RedotPay app, reducing steps, latency, and drop-off. For merchants, it opens a direct channel for accepting AI-initiated stablecoin payments, with settlement handled on the back-end.
Why Tempo
For RedotPay, building agentic payment flows on Tempo means using MPP where it has the most mature implementation. Stripe and Tempo co-authored the protocol, and the chain’s design was shaped around the flows MPP enables.
- Access keys for agents
- Tempo’s native account abstraction lets AI agents sign payment transactions on behalf of users using delegated keys, without exposing root private keys. The user authorizes the agent once; the agent handles the rest. This is the foundation that makes autonomous, trustworthy agentic commerce possible inside the RedotPay app.
- Sub-second finality
- Transactions on Tempo finalize in under a second with deterministic settlement. When an agent completes a purchase, the user sees a confirmed transaction, not a pending state. For a product built around seamless, single-touchpoint commerce, the settlement layer has to keep up.
- Predictable, stablecoin-denominated fees
- Tempo charges a flat fee per transaction, payable in stablecoins, with no fee spikes from network activity. For a platform serving 7 million users across 100 countries, simplicity matters. Users participate without holding anything extra.
“Agentic payments represent a fundamental shift in user experience, transforming how we discover, purchase, and pay. At RedotPay, innovation has always been our focus. By partnering with Tempo to integrate AI with stablecoin payments, we are shaping the future of payment solutions and making digital asset spending more seamless, intuitive, and accessible for everyday life.”
What’s next
RedotPay’s MPP integration is live on Tempo today. RedotPay is set to launch the second phase of its agentic payments capability, with the payment skill becoming available for download in June this year. Users will be able to access agentic payments with AI agents handling discovery and purchase.
The partnership is designed to grow with both companies. As RedotPay expands its product suite and Tempo deepens MPP’s reach across merchants and payment methods, both users and merchants get a new channel for AI-initiated payments.
