Tempo Earn now supports Hastra’s PRIME and wYLDS

Tempo Earn now supports Hastra-minted PRIME and wYLDS, giving platforms more ways to embed real-world yield into treasury, card, and payment products. The assets give platforms additional options for credit-based returns and DeFi-native yield products, alongside the yield assets already available on Tempo.

The right yield asset depends on how customers use their funds, how quickly they may need access, where they are located, and what kind of risk they are prepared to take.

A card program may prioritize balances that remain available for spending. A treasury or savings product may want to offer a different return profile tied to real-world lending. Platforms need the ability to support both experiences without building separate products and infrastructure for each one.

Through Tempo Earn, platforms can now access Hastra-minted DeFi assets connected to Figure’s Democratized Prime marketplace.

Figure is a blockchain-native capital marketplace focused on bringing lending, funding, and real-world asset markets onchain. Figure’s Democratized Prime marketplace connects lenders with pools of real-world loans.

Hastra, a protocol developed in partnership with Figure, brings these assets into DeFi. Users can mint wYLDS through the protocol and stake wYLDS to receive PRIME. PRIME’s return is connected to Figure’s home equity lending operations.

For platforms, this creates more room to design Earn products around specific customer needs. Rather than applying one asset and return profile to every balance, platforms can choose based on liquidity, eligibility, risk, and intended use.

PRIME

PRIME is a Hastra-enabled DeFi asset created by staking wYLDS, with both wYLDS and PRIME bridged to Tempo through Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol. It currently offers an indicative APY of approximately 7%.*

Returns are linked to Figure’s HELOC lending operations and vary with borrower demand and pool utilization. PRIME is available to eligible customers globally, subject to local restrictions.

Customers can unstake without a fixed lockup and redeem PRIME for wYLDS. Redemption and final conversion into other assets depend on the network, access route, and available liquidity. Eligible users can explore the PRIME pool on Uniswap, which currently has approximately $25M in liquidity.

PRIME provides access to a potentially higher, credit-based return while retaining onchain utility. It gives platforms another option for customers who can accept a different risk and liquidity profile in exchange for exposure to real-world lending.

What Tempo Earn provides

Tempo Earn helps platforms turn these assets into embedded customer products. Platforms choose which assets to offer, decide how rewards are divided between the platform and its customers, and control how funds move between earning, spending, payouts, and withdrawals.

Tempo provides the infrastructure needed to operate these products at scale. Tempo Zones help keep balances and activity private. Account policies and transfer controls let platforms define how funds can move. Stablecoin-denominated fees remove the need for users to manage a separate fee token, while Tempo’s payment infrastructure supports high-volume dollar movement.

The partnership combines three parts of the product stack. Figure provides onchain capital markets and real-world lending infrastructure. Hastra enables users to mint and access wYLDS and PRIME for use in DeFi. Tempo provides the payments-first network that connects these assets to customer-facing products.

If you are building Earn, treasury, card, or payment products on stablecoin rails, get in touch with Tempo. Eligible users can learn more about accessing PRIME through Hastra.

*The PRIME Effective APY displayed is an estimate based on the trailing 24-hour change of each displayed Hastra token’s Net Asset Value. It reflects the actual yield distributed to holders, including both the Democratized Prime pool rate and wYLDS interest on unutilized pool liquidity, net of the 50 bps Hastra fee. The rate is updated in the Hastra UI every 5 minutes. Prior rates do not guarantee future rates.
