RedotPay, a global stablecoin-based payment fintech serving over 7 million users across 130 million merchants worldwide, is integrating the Machine Payments Protocol to enable AI agents to transact on behalf of users.
Most payments still need a human in the loop for a recommendation, a search, a click, or a purchase. AI agents are increasingly capable of handling each of those steps, but the infrastructure for autonomous payments is only now catching up. MPP gives agents a standard way to send and receive payments programmatically, from microtransactions to merchant-direct purchases.
RedotPay and Tempo
RedotPay serves over 7 million users across 100+ countries through global card networks, and processes more than $10 billion in annualized payment volume. With MPP integrated, an AI agent can process a purchase request inside the app from end to end. The agent handles discovery and checkout, RedotPay settles with the merchant on Tempo in stablecoins, and the user settles with RedotPay from their existing wallet balance, without bridging funds or holding ecosystem-specific tokens.
“Agentic payments represent a fundamental shift in user experience, transforming how we discover, purchase, and pay,” said Jonathan Chan, Co-Founder and Head of Partnerships of RedotPay. “At RedotPay, innovation has always been our focus. By partnering with Tempo to integrate AI with stablecoin payments, we are shaping the future of payment solutions and making digital asset spending more seamless, intuitive, and accessible for everyday life.”
What’s next
RedotPay’s MPP integration is live on Tempo today. RedotPay is set to launch the second phase of its agentic payments capability, with the payment skill becoming available for download in June this year. Users will be able to access agentic payments with AI agents handling discovery and purchase.
