The final prospectus for BlackRock’s BRSRV names Tempo as a supported blockchain for OnChain Shares. BRSRV is a proposed U.S. government money market fund with shares digitally represented on public blockchain networks. For eligible investors, it will connect regulated cash management to the same network used for onchain payments and settlement. Read the prospectus.

Tempo plans to support BlackRock’s BRSRV, a GENIUS-compliant money market fund with a blockchain-based share class, bringing regulated cash management closer to onchain payments and settlement.

BlackRock Advisors will manage BRSRV. Securitize Transfer Agent will maintain the fund’s official shareholder record through a permissioned system connected to Tempo and other supported public blockchains. OnChain Shares will be digitally represented on those networks, while transfers remain limited to approved wallets and are subject to eligibility, KYC and AML review, and the fund’s transfer restrictions.

BRSRV seeks current income while preserving liquidity and stability of principal. The fund will invest in cash, short-dated U.S. Treasury instruments, and overnight repurchase agreements secured by U.S. Treasury instruments. It seeks to maintain a stable $1.00 net asset value.

A regulated cash-management product on onchain rails

The prospectus states that the fund intends to operate so its OnChain Shares are eligible reserve assets for permitted payment stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act. That treatment remains subject to implementing rules and regulatory interpretation.

For institutions using Tempo for payments, treasury management, and settlement, BRSRV can connect a regulated cash-management product to the same public network where balances can move onchain. This is a concrete step toward bringing regulated financial products and programmable payment activity into the same operating environment while preserving the investor controls expected of a registered fund.

Important information

BRSRV shares are securities, not stablecoins. The fund is not FDIC insured or bank guaranteed, may lose value, and cannot guarantee a stable $1.00 net asset value. Investors should review the final prospectus and determine whether they meet its eligibility, minimum-investment, KYC, AML, and wallet requirements.
