OnePay stablecoin deposits are now live on Tempo
OnePay, the consumer fintech trusted by millions of Americans, now lets its customers turn stablecoins into dollars in their OnePay Checking accounts. Starting today, select U.S. customers can send stablecoins on Tempo to a deposit address and receive U.S. dollars in the OnePay app. Read the OnePay customer story.
Here’s how OnePay customers benefit:
- Dollars, ready to spend. More gig workers, freelancers and people paid by cross-border platforms are receiving their earnings in stablecoins. Deposits land in the same Checking balance customers use to pay bills, send money and save, with no separate stablecoin balance.
- One step in the app. Customers choose “Deposit stablecoins” in the Cash Control section and send stablecoins from an external wallet or exchange. Bridge receives the stablecoins, runs the required compliance checks and converts them to dollars, and credits OnePay Checking.
- Low cost on Tempo. OnePay charges no conversion fees at launch. On Tempo, payments settle in under a second and network fees are paid in stablecoins, so customers don't need to hold a separate token to send a deposit.
OnePay and Tempo
Stablecoin deposits are part of OnePay and Tempo’s broader partnership on stablecoin payouts and instant account funding for OnePay’s banking product. Alongside that work, OnePay plans to support the Tempo network by launching a validator.
“We're proud to serve an incredible customer base that values their money working harder and moving faster. Tempo's payments-focused architecture and built-in privacy and compliance tooling make it the right infrastructure partner as we expand into stablecoin-powered experiences for our customers,” said Pierce Harger, Head of Crypto & Stablecoins at OnePay.
“The next wave of onchain adoption will come from stablecoin products that solve real problems for everyday users. OnePay serves millions of workers and consumers who stand to benefit from faster, cheaper money movement,” said Ani Narayan, GTM at Tempo.
